Celebrating Black British Girlhood through Play

Milk Honey Bees have teamed up with Barbie this year to empower Black girls.

Working with Milk Honey Bees on their mission to celebrate Black Girlhood by creating an expressive safe space is one of the ways that Barbie is working to close the Dream Gap; the time when girls start to doubt that they can be anything.* The original girl empowerment brand, the Barbie Dream Gap Project is an ongoing global initiative that aims to give girls the resources and support they need to continue to believe that they can be anything.

Barbie and Milk Honey Bees have a number of initiatives this year that celebrate and empower girls including:

As well as collaborating on initiatives, Barbie have supported MHB with project funding and helped to create a workshop at WOW (Women of the World) on International Women’s Day.
